Kindo connects 300,000 families with 500 schools across Aotearoa, helping schools raise more, do more, and create better outcomes for kids. With Movac’s investment and a recent Series A, We are scaling our platform - expanding what families and schools can achieve through Kindo.

This role exists to unlock new growth and revenue opportunities that sit beyond core school finance. Families are the end users, but success comes from building features that schools want to champion - from fundraising platforms that engage wider whānau, to sports and activity tools that bring departments beyond finance into Kindo.

You’ll lead discovery-led growth: researching opportunities, testing ideas quickly, and turning validated concepts into scalable products that drive adoption, marketplace expansion, and new revenue streams.

Key Outcomes

  • New revenue streams for schools: Discover, test, and launch new products (e.g. fundraising, sports, activities) that materially increase school value and revenue.
  • Product-led acquisition: Deliver features that help schools bring more families onto Kindo through natural, community-driven use cases.
  • Marketplace expansion: Grow vendors, product categories, and services that families can access through schools.
  • Broader school engagement: Increase usage beyond the finance office by appealing to sports, events, and activity coordinators.
  • Scalable growth systems: Build growth features that work across diverse school sizes, structures, and needs.

What you’ll do

  • Lead opportunity discovery for new growth and revenue areas, working closely with schools, families, and internal teams.
  • Research unmet needs across fundraising, sports, events, and extracurricular activities — and turn insight into testable concepts.
  • Design and run experiments, pilots, and MVPs to validate demand before scaling.
  • Use AI tools (Claude, Lovable, analytics assistants, etc.) as a core part of research, synthesis, ideation, PRD writing, and experimentation.
  • Own the growth and marketplace roadmap — balancing exploration with delivery.
  • Build product-led acquisition features that encourage families to participate, share, sponsor, or contribute.
  • Partner with Design and Engineering to translate validated ideas into scalable, high-quality features.
  • Work with vendors and partners on integrations, APIs, POS systems, and fulfilment workflows where needed.
  • Own complex systems such as inventory, ordering, stock tracking, and delivery logistics when growth ideas require it.
  • Measure success across adoption, engagement, revenue contribution, and marketplace health — and iterate quickly.

Tools you’ll use

Notion, Jira, Figma, Claude, Lovable, Google Analytics, Zoho, AWS tools, Kindo admin tools — plus AI and research tools you introduce.

What makes you a fit

  • Discovery-first mindset: You’re comfortable starting with ambiguity and shaping clarity through research and testing.
  • Growth instinct: You naturally look for leverage, loops, and scalable impact.
  • Commercial curiosity: You care deeply about how product ideas turn into sustainable revenue for schools and Kindo.
  • Systems thinking: You’re comfortable designing complex, interconnected features.
  • Customer empathy: You design with families in mind — even when selling through schools.
  • AI-first approach: You use AI daily to accelerate research, thinking, and delivery.

Experience we’re looking for

  • 5+ years experience as a Product Manager in SaaS, marketplaces, e-commerce, or B2B2C platforms.
  • Proven experience leading discovery-heavy product work and turning insights into shipped outcomes.
  • Experience building or scaling new revenue-generating products, not just optimising existing ones.
  • Strong understanding of two-sided marketplaces and network effects.
  • Experience with integrations, APIs, POS systems, or vendor platforms.
  • Nice to have: exposure to education, fundraising, sports, or community platforms.
